Part 1 - Research

Methamphetamine:

Methamphetamine, pronounced Meth-am-phet-a-mine is also known as "Ice", "Meth: or "Tick", is a commonly abused stimulant and sympathomimetic drug. Meaning that it will stimluate tbe user.

Consumers will get excited and obssessed with a task no matter of it logic or rationality. Consuming of this drug will also cause the person to become hypersexual. The consumers will have a very pleasent sensation when they first consume this drug. However, the tolerance of this drug is developed very easily. Meaning that users will be addicted to the drug quickly and will need larger doses of drugs to achieve the same effect.

This drug is made from Ephedrine Hyrdrocholride, a natural plant that can be found in many countries in Asia, the largetst production of Methamphetamine is in the golden triangle, also known as the largest drug production area in the wrold.

When Methaphetmine is used for medical purposes (very rarely), it will be in the form of pills. When it is abused and is traded and used as an illegal drug. This drug is mostly in the form of soluable powder which is consumed by injections of a solution. This could cause deaths if the human body can not resist the medicine.

The effects of this drug to the body after the peak sensations has passed is also very strong. Although the effects might not be life endangering at start, but it will cause the consumers to have large emotion shifts and will become impetuous, melanchoneous, and might even suffer to sympotoms of paranoia. This leads the the possiblility of serious violence, which is why many of Methamphetamine consumers tend to end up finding themselves in a pointless fight which turned out to become very serious. If the statistics of serious teenage violence events were examined, a trend will likely be sighted. Most who commit these crimes will be a consumer of some form of drug, and as Methamphetamine is such a common drug it is very likely going to be consuming the drug itself.

The website allows us to edit and improve the work of our classmates.

4) List three things you dislike about using this learning environment (Wiki).
There are problems when we edit the font, therefore it is hard to improve the layout.
This webpage does not provide the undo key, if we deleted any information we will have to rewrite it.
The internet provides a larger chance of copy and pasting.

5) Do you prefer traditional written essays or creating a Wiki page for assessment?
I prefered the usage of wiki pages to writing essays, the atmosphere is lighter and therefore I don't feel as much pressure.

6) How do you feel about contributing to other people’s pages.
I think its a good idea to contribute to other people's pages, this would allow the pages to become better.

7) How do you feel about other people contributing to your page?
I think its very nice as it will allow my page to become better.

8) How do you feel about self-assessment?
It is a very useful part of the project since it allows us to see our strengths and weaknesses

9) Which topic do you feel personally was more beneficial in semester one – drugs or love?
I think the drug project was more beneficial. It was more intense and delivered a more important message.

10) If you could choose your own topics for PSE what would you like to study?
